A Conversation with Sanjay Chojar ’85, BNY Mellon

 

Sanjay Chojar, ’85, is the managing director and global head of BNY Mellon’s Alternative Investment Services Technology, which includes real estate, private equity, and hedge fund groups. A recognized expert in the field, his leadership role follows on more than thirty years of experience in investment banking technology.

Prior to BNY Mellon, Sanjay held a number of management positions in the field, including in prime services technology, regulatory functions, electronic trading technology, and global multi-strategy investment. He has worked for Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, and other investment banks. His extensive personal skill set includes digital strategies, platform rationalization, architecture, sourcing strategy, outsourcing, and vendor engagement.

Sanjay, who has received an award for promoting diversity, also works with a nonprofit organization to help inner-city youth achieve their potential.
