Adding up to Success: Dr. Ronald Frank
Dr. Ronald Frank,’68, is the Strategy and Change Services Internal Practice Lead at IBM Global Consulting Services. The SCIP engagement portfolio includes projects that support the setting of direction, the re-designing of critical processes and the management of transformation initiatives for the line and staff teams within and across IBM. Ron's career includes 35 years of consulting experience across multiple industries, including electronics, other industrial, media, financial services and retailing. Prior to IBM, Ron spent many years at major strategy consulting firms including Bain and Company, Gemini and Mercer Management Consulting. He began his professional career as a faculty member in the MBA program at Harvard Business School. In addition, Ron spent several years as the Chief Operating Officer at Kessler Financial Services, the leading affinity sales and marketing firm in the financial services industry.
Ron holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Queens College, City University of New York. Ron is a past trustee at Milton Academy in Milton, Massachusetts and is a former director of Wordwave, Inc., the leading transcriber of voice to text in the U.S. Ron also sat on the advisory board of the Consulting Advisory Practice of Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter’s ICIC (Institute for the Competitiveness of the Inner City). Ron was a member of the board of Nypro, an employee owned firm which fabricates innovative plastic products plus chaired the board of its Radius design subsidiary – both were sold to Jabil in 2013.
