Christopher J. Cavallaro '76 is a Managing Director of ARC Excess & Surplus, LLC. He started in the insurance business in April of 1974 with American International Group, and worked there through April 1986. He left American International Group as a Senior Vice President of both the Management Liability and Professional Liability Divisions. He had overall responsibility for all underwriting and claims control of all of the Management Liability and Professional Liability products written by National Union Fire Insurance Company at that time for commercial accounts.

In April of 1986 Christopher J. Cavallaro was one of the co-founders of ARC Excess & Surplus, LLC. ARC Excess & Surplus, LLC has grown to be the largest single independent wholesale broker specializing in Management Liability and Professional Liability products. ARC Excess & Surplus, LLC places over $650 million in premiums with over 60 insurance companies. ARC Excess & Surplus, LLC prides itself in its services and professionalism of Management Liability and Professional Liability insurance.

Christopher J. Cavallaro graduated Cum Laude from Queens College with an Economics and Finance Degree. He also attended graduate school at CUNY. Mr. Cavallaro has published articles and journals within the Professional Liability industry, as well as is a past President of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. The Professional Liability Underwriting Society is an organization with over 8,000 members who specialize in Management Liability and Professional Liability insurance.

Mr. Cavallaro is a leader in the Management Liability and Professional Liability arena, and has given numerous speeches and has written many articles concerning same.
