Melaina Badalian is a junior majoring in music performance (French horn). She chose Queens College because of its renowned Aaron Copland School of Music, its affordable tuition, and its great education. Within the music program, Melaina is a member of the Queens College Orchestra, Brass Ensemble, Horn Ensemble, and various brass quintets. In addition, she was selected for the Golden Key International Honor Society. Melaina’s experience at Queens College has been enhanced by contributions from alumni. As the recipient of a QCF Scholar Scholarship, she is able to participate in many groups, and can dedicate the appropriate time to a heavy course load. Since Queens College has such a rigorous music program, her class schedule usually ranges from 17 to 20 credits each semester.
