Kelly Chan is both a Communication Disorders and Psychology major with hopes of pursuing a career as a Speech Language Pathologist to work with children with Autism and Down Syndrome. Nearly 7 years ago, Kelly joined the Key Club, the high school branch of Kiwanis, where she learned the meaning of selflessness through service. When she got to Queens College, she joined Circle K to continue her journey in the organization. She became the president and brought membership up from 4 to 46 members. After giving Circle K a presence on campus, she furthered her leadership role by becoming the Lieutenant Governor of the Brooklyn Queens Division of Circle K and she is currently serving as the District Governor of New York State. As a scholarship recipient, Kelly says, “The scholarship was much appreciated and it contributed to my motivation to continue as a servant-leader as well as a professional Speech Pathologist who can one day provide the gift of communication to children.”
