“I chose Queens College because it provides a great education at an affordable price. I am currently majoring in psychology and minoring in Computer Information Technology. I hope to take what I've learned in my undergraduate studies at Queens College to attend graduate studies for occupational therapy after graduation. I am grateful for my scholarship because it helps me achieve my academic goals.
During my first year at Queens College, I was part of the Freshman Honors Program which provided all the tools I needed to help me adjust to college. On campus there are many ways to get involved. As a sophomore, I became a Student Ambassador, where I give campus tours and assist at various events. I am also a Freshman Year Initiative (FYI) mentor, where I am a mentor to two freshman English 110 classes. In addition, I am a statistics tutor as part of the psychology department. In my spare time I enjoy volunteering with people with special needs.”
