Stephanie J. Stiefel, CPA, Managing Director, joined Neuberger Berman in 1990
Stephanie is the Head of Client Development for the Straus Group, within the firm’s Private Asset Management division. Prior to her current position, she served as Head of Private Asset Management Advisory Services, which provides high net worth individuals and families, as well as small to medium-sized institutions with discretionary investment management and trust services. Prior to joining the firm, Stephanie worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. as a personal financial planner and senior tax manager, specializing in tax consultation, financial planning and family wealth issues. She earned a BA from Queens College and is a Certified Public Accountant. Stephanie established a Charitable Remainder Trust in memory of her late husband at Lehigh University. She formerly served as the Head of the Investment Committee and is a Trustee on the Board at Queens College. She serves on the Board of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at New York University. She served on the Central Synagogue Board of Directors and Jewish Communal Fund Board. Although no longer a practicing accountant, she maintains her membership in the New York State Society of CPAs. Stephanie is married to Robert Stephan Cohen and they live in Manhattan and Northern Westchester. Her son, Joshua is completing a Master's Degree in Domestic Policy at the Kennedy School, after having graduating from Lehigh University in May,2008.
